As a software developer C++ (f/m/d) you work with large amounts of data and are responsible for implementing various programs with high performance and thus ensuring efficient processing within short time windows. In our backend development, a wide range of algorithms and data structures are applied—giving you the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and solutions to diverse challenges. From machine learning and image processing to GIS workflows and databases with millions of daily measurements—there’s plenty of variety. Regardless of whether you join the team at one of our four locations (Bonn, Bornheim, Coventry, Miami) or remotely upon arrangement – we look forward to your support.
To be successful with us, you need:
- a degree in mathematics, computer science, or a related field
- strong knowledge and hands-on experience in software engineering, especially in object-oriented programming
- experience handling large datasets and a strong understanding of measurement data
- strong analytical thinking and a solid grasp of complex data structures
The following development environment awaits you:
- Operating system: Linux Ubuntu with your own build system and your favourite IDE.
- Programming languages: C++17, Python, bash
- Libraries / frameworks: OpenMP, STL, Docker, ELK Stack etc. Versioning: Git/Gitlab
