As a software developer C++ (f/m/d) you work with large amounts of data and are responsible for implementing various programs with high performance and thus ensuring efficient processing within short time windows. In the backend development of WetterOnline, various algorithms and data structures are used and provide for the most versatile tasks, which you can enrich with your own ideas and approaches to solutions. From machine learning, image processing, GIS processing to databases with millions of daily measurement data, it’s all there.
Regardless of whether you join the team at one of our four locations (Bonn, Bornheim, Coventry, Miami) or remotely upon arrangement – we look forward to your support.
To be successful with us, you need:
- a degree in mathematics or natural sciences
- sound knowledge and practical experience in the field of software engineering, especially good knowledge of object-oriented programming
- a good sense for measured values and experience in processing large amounts of data
- analytical thinking skills and a strong understanding of complex data structures
The following development environment awaits you:
- Operating system: Linux Ubuntu with your own build system and your favourite IDE.
- Programming languages: C++17, Python, bash
- Libraries / frameworks: OpenMP, STL, Docker, ELK Stack etc. Versioning: Git/Gitlab
